Helping you give birth, rooted .
My goal as a doula is to help you source the tools and support you need to give birth, rooted in your power. I believe that bodily autonomy and informed consent are human rights and essential in the birth space. When you are empowered and respected in labor, you are on the path to becoming an empowered parent. Good beginnings are essential to the life of the family and community, and doulas are here to help guard this sacred passage of life.
My Services
-
Once you have reached out to me via either by email, phone, or the contact form at the bottom of my website, I will contact you to set up a phone consultation. This is a free consultation for us to decide if we are a good for to work together. After this call, we can set up your first prenatal appointment.
I like to get to know each of my client’s individual needs and tailor my services accordingly. At least three prenatal appointments are recommended for clients who want birth support, but I can adjust my prices if you need more or less support prenatally. Each appointment is a 90 minute home visit.
Prenatal counseling includes education on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum as well as physical and emotional support.

I offer on-call birth support from 37 weeks on. This means I will either stay in the area with my phone and ringer on or I will have a back-up doula do the same in my stead. If the latter is necessary, I will communicate this well in advance and you will have the opportunity to meet the other doula.
Birth support includes physical and emotional support during all stages of labor, as early or as long as you need it. I will also be your advocate as well as help you advocate for yourself during labor. Oftentimes the support and direction of a doula can be helpful to other members of the birth team who feel unsure.

After you’ve given birth, you are often in need of more support than ever and less likely to get it. My hope for all parents is that they get the help they need during this beautiful and difficult transition. My birth support package includes a postpartum check-in, but my packages are flexible.
Postpartum support can look very different depending on your unique family’s needs. It can range from baby care, sibling care, simple cooking and cleaning, or even emotional support. Contact me for my hourly rates.

What Doulas Do
A doula can provide individualized pregnancy and childbirth education and support. This support can begin at any time in the childbearing year, from preconception to postpartum. My goal is always to inform you of all options and give you evidence-based information about your options. The responsibility of decision-making is in your capable hands, but I am here to support your pregnancy and parenting journey no matter what it looks like.
